East Dean and Friston

Following the success of last year's Christmas Tree Festival at Jevington Church, we would like to host one at East Dean this year. Would like you to consider participating? It will be held at the back of church throughout December. This is a great way to raise awareness of your group, as well as joining in with a joyful community project.

If you would like to be involved you will need to please:

Provide an artificial Christmas tree - any shape, any style. The trees will go on two sizes of window sill -  (a) up to 120cm tall, 30cm deep and 85cm wide or (b) up to 110cm tall, 28cm deep and 95cm wide.

If you would like to provide a bigger tree, there is some space on the floor around the font area.

  *    N.B: You are very welcome to come and have a look at the church before bringing your tree!

  *   Decorate your tree with something which represents your group and its members - this could be as creative as you like, or something simple such as each member writing their name on a card or paper bauble

  *   Let me know the name and a brief description of your group so I can create a sign for your tree and add your group to the booklet of trees

  *

Bring it along to East Dean Church on or before the afternoon of Saturday 29th November and feel free to set your tree up in a window ready to be on display from 1st December. The church is open every day from 9am til dusk, myself and/or churchwarden Gail Huggett will be available on 29th November, (or at another pre-arranged time by request) if needed

  *   Be sure to collect your tree by 6th January

Please let me know whether this is something you will be interested in joining in with. I will be happy to help with ideas or any questions you may have.

I look forward to hearing from you!

Thanks and God bless
