Village Action Plan

THE VILLAGE ACTION PLAN

The original Village Plan was first published in May 2005 and, at the time, it was clear that it might need updating from time to time. However, in 2008 the Parish Council agreed that as a set of basic principles it could hardly be improved and it was decided to use it as the basis of a Village Action Plan which would set out financial and other objectives, with timescales. This would be used as a working document and it will be on the agenda at each Parish Council meeting.

In preparing The Village Action Plan the following scoring system was used to decide what it should include.

VAP SCORING SYSTEM

0 = PC has no involvement

1 = PC has indirect involvement

2 = already in hand or the provision, provided by the PC or some other body, is adequate

3 = currently OK ; check/review in 24 months

4 = currently OK ; check/review in 12 months

5 = action needed within 12 months

6 = immediate action needed.

The Village Action Plan ignores those objectives which scored 0, 1 or 2 points and no objectives scored 3 points. Therefore the Village Action Plan is based only on those objectives scoring 4, 5, & 6 points.
