Local InformationEast Dean and Friston are adjacent villages situated between the coastal towns of Eastbourne and Seaford in East Sussex. The village has a range of local amenities, including a pub (the popular Tiger Inn), a post office, a doctor's surgery, a veterinary surgery, several local shops (including an award-winning butcher!) and a multi-purpose village hall, built in 2000. Regular bus services run to Eastbourne and Seaford - see local transport for further details. The popular beach at Birling Gap is just half a mile away and the villages are splendidly placed for walks over the famous South Downs, towards Beachy Head or over the Seven Sisters towards Cuckmere Haven. Follow the links in the menu of the right of the page to find out more, or contact us with any queries and we will try to develop the information available in this section to answer enquiries we receive. |
