Local Council

East Dean and Friston fall within the boundary of Wealden District Council, although many local matters are handled by the Parish Council of East Dean and Friston.

The county council is East Sussex County Council and East Dean and Friston fall within the electoral division of Willingdon. The county councillor for Willingdon is Councillor Steven Shing (Independent Democrat).
