Maintaining Downlands Estate roads

East Dean Roads is a not-for-profit company responsible for maintaining the roads in the Downlands private estate. East Dean Roads examines the roads regularly, and hires contractors to make any necessary repairs and improvements.
Each year, residents are asked for a contribution to help pay for this. Residents are able to become shareholders of East Dean Roads (see separate article) and thereby put forward resolutions for and vote at the annual general meeting.
East Dean Downlands Estate roads are owned by a firm in Lowestoft, which has delegated their maintenance to East Dean Roads.
