Village Service

March 25th

The Village Service held at the end of March filled the church and was much enjoyed.

This simple service, run as an experiment this year, was an opportunity for us to celebrate and voice our appreciation for all the many good and positive things that there are here in East Dean and Friston.

As part of this, it enabled us to say “thank you” to representatives of community groups and organisations, as well as to welcome everyone else who wished to join us.

The service, which lasted less than an hour, built on the positive community spirit and good relationships we already enjoy; and the refreshments that followed allowed us to 'take the temperature' and to enjoy the feed-back that many thought this should be an annual event!
