Welcome!

If you are new to our Village
(or even if you are not) - welcome to the Parish of East Dean with Friston.

We offer a range of activities for all ages and persuasions, which the pages on this site tell you something about.

We are an Anglican church which welcomes and includes people from a variety of backgrounds and denominations and we hope that you will find a home with us.

There are, not one, but two church buildings (or worship centres) in the village. Friston church is our centre of traditional (Book of Common Prayer) worship. East Dean church uses a variety of worship services and styles. Check out the services page for more details.

If you are not a Churchgoer, no matter; join us for coffee at around 10.30am - after the 9.30am morning service - in East Dean Church, any Sunday morning.

We have coffee outside (in the summer) if the weather permits and would love to meet you; you can be sure of a very warm welcome. If you want to learn more about life in the Village, this is the place to be!

Our aim is ‘to bring more of God into more of our lives’. So, in welcoming you to the church, we hope that you will discover more of the God who loves us, changes us, empowers us to serve him and who is in everything that we do.
