Vacancy for a Parish Councillor
We currently have a vacancy for one Parish Councillor. The position offers an opportunity to be involved at a very local level in a variety of issues which face the villages of Birling Gap, Crowlink,
East Dean and Friston.
The Parish Council is active and forward-thinking and would welcome like-minded applicants from any background.
Please initially contact one of our existing councillors or the Parish Clerk for further details:

£3 Bus Fare Cap
Single bus fares will be capped at £3 for 2025, replacing the £2 cap which ends on 31 December 2024.
This is a welcome extension of support particularly in rural communities where there is heavy reliance on buses.
Without a cap, some passengers would face a steep hike in fares following two years of government help.
